Conference Policies
This list of policies is not comprehensive and may be subject to change, as necessitated by circumstances.
Cancellation and Transfer Policy:
There is a 20% cancellation fee for conference registration. No refunds will be given for cancellations made after October 14th. Registrations may be transferred to another person as long as Kanab Writers Conference staff are notified by both parties via email at: kanabwritersconference@gmail.com. KWC is not responsible for working out payment in exchange transactions.
Contest entries are non-refundable.
Consults and pitch sessions are non-refundable, but are transferrable to another person, using the guidelines above.
Child Policy:
Children under the age of 16 must have a parent or guardian present at the conference, and children under the age of 12 must remain with their parent or guardian at all times. Those whose children become disruptive should step out into the hallway as a courtesy to presenters and other participants.
Photography and Recording Policy:
Kanab Writers Conference staff will be conducting photography and recordings during events. Registrants acknowledge that they understand KWC, their agents, and representatives will be taking and/or using pictures in advertising and on our online sites KWC. Registrants grant KWC a royalty free, permanent license for the resulting images and recordings.
Personal recording of any portion of the presentations, classes, or panels is prohibited. This extends to taking pictures of presenters’ slides, unless express permission is given by the presenter.
General Guidelines
Prohibited behaviors include, but are not limited to, harassment, threats, physical violence, criminal activity, public intoxication, and smoking.
Participants are required to be courteous to others, to obey all local, state, and federal laws, and to comply with the rules and regulations of Kanab Convention Center.
Those who must be removed due to non-compliance with these policies will not be refunded any portion of their registration fees.
