Plein Air Hike and Writing Retreat

On Thursday, July 28, come and write in the beautiful surroundings of Red Rock country during our Plein Air hike. After the hike, join us for a writing retreat and social activites including our community read-a-long of Mustaches with Maddie with authors Chad Morris and Shelly Brown.

Marketing Seminar

On Friday, July 29, come join us for a marketing seminar where you can learn about how to use social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Kickstarter, as well as how to get the biggest bang for your advertising buck.

The Annual Kanab Writers Conference

Community Engagement Events

The Kanab Writers Conference loves our community and strives to give back. Each year, we provide several opportunities for the community to join us in the evenings for different events. Click here to learn more about this year’s events.

Manuscript Consults and Pitch Sessions

The KWC offers manuscript consults and pitch sessions with  Cate Hart from the Karvey Klinger Literary Agency, Pink Umbrella Books, immortal Works, and Erin Olds at Salt and Sage Books. Learn more about each offering by clicking the link below.

Bookstore and Book Signings

The bookstore is a valuable resource to the conference and the community. We will be open throughout the conference and the community is welcome to come in and browse. Book signings will be available Thursday and Friday evenings. Anyone who is a registered member of the conference can put books in the bookstore.

KWC First K Contest

The KWC First K Contest is for the First 1000 words of your polished manuscript. Entries are $10. Click the button to find submission guidelines and more.

Anthology Project

Each year, the KWC hosts an anthology project. While the deadline for inclusion in this year’s anthology project has passed, you can check out previous years’ anthologies and purchase copies by clicking the link below.
